This is a debate which is often under discussion as if some body wants to find a cure for his erectile dysfunction, which brand to opt for or doctors always deliberate keeping in view certain issues that what would suite the patient best. Some of the grave dangers Viagra poised were its use on patients with history with heart problem or diabetes and in some places if failed to work patients with diabetes but Levitra had the answer to this it was very effective on patients with diabetic issues.
Viagra has a very huge plus point first it’s a pioneer in this business so it is well know in comparison with all the other impotency drugs for erectile dysfunction and it effectiveness has been proven on number of patients where other failed, and many doctors are also well aware of its usage as they have quite an experience prescribing it therefore to avoid experimenting and being used to this they hardly go for other brand.

Use of Viagra on Infants

Believe it or not but it’s very true; though it was used in some very unusual circumstances that were very compelling indeed and Viagra saved the day for them and used as a last resort after exhausting all the available other options.

A child was born for some unknown reason with a Chronic Pulmonary Hypertension and this can result in death as it increases the flow of blood in pulmonary arteries. After trying everything and in due course 3 months passed by but situation got worse and worse then Viagra was used after consultation with experts on it and as it dilates, or relaxes the blood vessels in the lungs because it causes the smooth muscles to relax.

It was later used in another case where a 1 year old child who had a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which shifted all his internal organs upward at birth, putting tremendous pressure on the heart and lungs. While surgery has fixed the Herniation, his lungs continue to struggle as they remain overloaded and Viagra was the answer to this problem and they even used it as it relaxed the arteries and hence the pressure was very much weaned away.

This is a very serious issue and hence there are different claims from both sides; who say that Viagra does causes infertility and even those people are also not hard find that are authentic, qualified and apprehensive, who say that Viagra is absolutely safe and has nothing to do with infertility that comes with proof too which also is a matter of huge concern because this adds more to the confusion.

This research was also very effectively refuted and a befitting reply was made in reaction to this research as this could prove to be a major set back; as those aspiring men who were planning for conceiving a child would quit that without a second thought. It was said that the internal functioning of sperm is different to the environment under which they carried the researches and contrary to what they pictured Sildenafil can act as a fertility booster as it causes a neural stimulation that releases three times the Oxytocin; where Oxytocin is a hormone that plays an important role in sexual arousal, social interactions, and reproduction. Some specific functions of Oxytocin include initiating uterine contraction during labor and triggering lactation. Another study has also linked Oxytocin to the formation of strong social bonds.

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension:
Sildenafil Citrate is also useful for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH). The solution is named Revatio, to avoid confusion with Viagra, and they are white and round. Pfizer in 1995 submitted an additional registration for Sildenafil to the Food and Drug Association (FDA). It relaxes the arterial wall, leading to decreased pulmonary arterial resistance and pressure. This in turn reduces the workload of the right ventricle of the heart and improves symptoms of right-sided heart failure. Because PDE-5 is primarily distributed within the arterial wall smooth muscle of the lungs and penis, Sildenafil acts selectively in both these areas without inducing vasodilatation in other areas of the body.

Altitude Sickness:
Altitude sickness is a state which mountain climbers most complain about and recently It has been discovered that Sildenafil has been useful for the prevention and treatment of altitude sickness. Sildenafil is now already becoming an accepted treatment for this condition.
Performance Enhancers:
Professional sports players have been using drugs such as Viagra thinking that the opening of their blood vessels will enrich their muscles, therefore enhancing their performance. Soccer star Pele´ has been openly endorsing it.
